  • Aaron Welch - Molecular and cellular biology of the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. There are two focuses of the lab: understanding the causes and solutions to aging, and developing novel strains of yeast for commercial applications. The Welch lab uses genetic and biochemical methods, and collaborates with others professors/institutions to analyze metabolites, perform elemental analyses, and conduct high-throughput sequencing.
