Dr. Hing C. Wong will host a lecture. Dr. Wong is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Miramar-based Altor BioScience, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases.
Dr. Richard Sheardy, Professor and Chair in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas Woman’s University will host a lecture. Dr. Sheardy's research focuses on the conformational properties of nucleic acids: conformation, conformational transitions, ligand binding and the thermodynamics associated with conformation, conformational transitions and binding. He is primarily interested in how sequence context and environmental conditions influence these properties.
